The worst you can imagine for your child or any child happened to this New Jersey teen.  This story takes place as the young girl Cheyanne Bond was walking along a park only 2 weeks after graduating from highschool with her ex boyfriend.  You guys know that I look for the conspiracy in everything and this story I am sorry is no exeption.  Please watch the news story first before I finish what I have a problem with.

So where are we now people with the police?  Are they our enemy or are they our friend?  Should we call on them or should we not trust them?

I think it is completely embarrassing to have

NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) – Police in Newark are trying to identify potential witnesses after a high school cheerleader was shot and killed, just two weeks after graduation.

The uncle of 17-year-old Cheyanne Bond says the teen never had a chance.

“They told her to get on her knees and they shot her in the head execution style,” Michael Bond said.

Investigators said teen was walking along West Side Park on South 17th Street in Newark with her ex-boyfriend Sunday night when both teens were shot.

Cheyanne was killed, but her ex-boyfriend survived.

“Just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time,” Michael Bond said.

Cheyanne had graduated from Malcolm X Shabazz High School in Newark just nine days ago. Friends describe her as hard-working and quiet and said she was excited about her plans to study nursing at Union County College this fall.

“She just graduated, she was about to go to college,” said friend Latayjsia Wilson. “She was a real nice girl, that’s why I never thought it would be her.”

“She was just about to start her real life as an adult, going to college and now it’s been taken from her,” said family friend Trishema Ratcliffe. “I’m just hoping they can find justice for her and find the person that did it.”

The teen was the third homicide in Newark over a 24-hour period last weekend, a trend the city’s new mayor Ras Baraka addressed during his inauguration Tuesday.

“Some are even afraid to patronize their corner stores or worse, still mourning the deaths of their loved ones from senseless violence,” he said.

Residents are demanding action.

“You can’t even go to your own park in your own neighborhood without somebody getting shot down,” said Newark resident Stephanie Lowe.

“Bullets are flying everywhere. People are really unsafe,” Clifford Richwood told CBS 2’s Janelle Burrell.

With her killer still on the run, investigators have put up signs urging any witnesses to come forward.

On Tuesday, police released a surveillance photo of two males walking south on South 17th Street just minutes after the shooting who may or may not have witnessed the incident, authorities said.

Police said one of the males was wearing a white short sleeve shirt with a long sleeve shirt underneath, brown short pants and hood. The second male was wearing blue jeans, a white t-shirt and a cap, police said.

The money that Bond’s family had planned to use for her college tuition will now be used to pay for a funeral.

A $12,000 reward is being offered for any information that leads to an arrest in the case.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office tip line at (877) 847-7432 or the Newark Police Department tip line at (877) 695-8477.

Meanwhile, the teen’s heartbroken family says they’re now planning on using the money intended for her college tuition to pay for her funeral, which is scheduled for next Wednesday.

NEWARK — Anti-violence activists plan to hold a rally to voice their frustration with the lack of an arrest in the murder of a 17-year-old cheerleader last month.

The Newark Anti-Violence Coalition will hold the event on Wednesday on South 17th Street in Newark, near where Cheyanne Bond was gunned down on June 29. Along with Cheyanne’s family, the group hopes to push authorities to make an arrest in the case, it said in a statement.

An Irvington resident, Cheyanne had recently graduated from Malcolm X Shabazz High School in Newark, where she was a member of the cheerleading squad, and had plans to pursue a degree in nursing.

Police have offered a $15,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the case.

Anthony Ambrose, the chief investigator at the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, said the investigation into Bond’s death remained active, and that detectives were pursuing “strong leads” in the case.

The NAVC was formed in 2009 in response to a growing wave of gun violence in and around Newark, including the slaying of Nakisha Allen, a 35-year-old mother of two who was killed in broad daylight in June 2009.

The group held a series of rallies that called out local gangs and sharply criticized then-Police Director Garry McCarthy and Mayor Cory Booker.

The group’s formation was spearheaded by then City Councilman Ras Baraka, who was recently inaugurated as the city’s 40th mayor.

Earlier this week, Baraka unveiled a new crime-fighting strategy centered around improving relations between the department and the community, including regular “neighborhood walks” to initiate conversations about problems in specific areas of the city.

    “Barack should do something”

In this case they’re not referring to Obama, but new Newark NJ mayor Ras Baraka, son of noted Newark activist Amiri Baraka (LeRoi Jones).

Activist…lawyers…We need to stop putting people who get paid by the dispute into positions of power. Elect problem solvers e.g. CEO’s with proven track records, doctors, engineers, etc. I can’t wait for November 4th in Texas to vote for Rebecca Paddock for US senate.

But… Wait… I though Black Folks voted ‘Change’ into office 6 years ago. (O.o) Or did they??

What we REALLY need is to STOP relying on Politricks (aka Politics), period. We need to move AWAY from the system that consistently manufactures crime at ALL levels. We need a system that’s fair to everyone. A system that guarantees equality and ample needs supplied to all people. THAT is when we will BEGIN to see (literal) ‘Change’. As long as we keep on doing what we’re doing (e.g. Marches, Rallies, Picketing, etc.) we will CONTINUE to get what we’ve been getting. I do not mean to come across as ‘Anti-Activism’, because that’s definitely not my position. I’m PRO-Activism, but in ways that benefit EVERYONE. It’s NOT about ‘Black Problems’. It’s about ‘Human Problems’. I know what it takes to fix the problems we complain about constantly, but no one really seems interested in actual problem-solving enough to even inquire about it (sincerely). I guess, people feel more comfortable bitching, moaning, crying, whining and moaning it shit and watching it all happen, time & time again. Oh, well… When someone decides they’ve had enough, they’ll step up and ask about solutions. One day… One day…

First of all we need to define the context of” SNITCHING” because it really is not helping us. If for intance mr A kills mr B and we know and harbor him; how does that progress our community? I know people will attack me but at the end of the day we are killing ourselves in more ways than one.
what hope or future do we have if our youth ( the future of black race) are full of gangster s , murderers, no good young men existing to pay child support and the girls are young barstard baby makers existing to hunt down the men…….we are failing ourselves not the government. Seriously!!!!!!.

I totally agree bro, we are hurting our selves more than anything. Niggaz need to stop talking this bs on how we as black people stick together, when all we are doing is destroying our community instead of building. Some of these pro blacks are very closed minded, fake, and ignorant. They’ll be the 1st to pull the race card crap,,, but when they see a black guy who like rides skate board and doesnt talk with a street slang, he’s considered to be white boy. Black people,, my people,, we gotta playing our selves,, aint nobody holding us back but us :

I’m so sick of black folks on the news talking about “something needs to be done about the crime…”. It’s YOUR son, nephew, cousin, neighbor, that’s committing these crimes and you know it! Yet, you invite them to your house to cookout, eat your food, drink, and be merry. When they get arrested, you hollering “police brutality” and feel sorry for poor pookie, the drug dealer. When somebody is murdered, you want “somebody” arrested, but won’t say who. We’ve played this game for far too long and it’s time to start getting rid of the criminal element and stop harboring them!

Why do this happen in pretty much every black neighborhood?
This is one of the reason why whenever a black family move to a white neighborhood everybody starts moving even if that means selling their houses for half their original prices.

People got out and marched, maybe someone can give them ideas on how to save their city. If someone is active in neighborhood watch can help them start one in that area.

This is so Fucked up… Newark was on The Up Tick.. They built new housing, Tore Down most of The Projects. Expanded Rutgers University. Bought in Arts and Science programs, and a host of other positive things for the city. I thought shit like this was heading towards the past for Newark’s History. However, I see The Urban Savages still lurk among The Masses…

    so Damn Sad…

They caught the stupid nigga, Andre Fields, who shot her. Here’s why I call him a dumb nigga: iPhones have a lockdown mode so that if they are reported stolen they cannot be used. He killed her for a phone that he basically could not use for more than a few days. This is why NJ should have never gotten rid of the death penalty.

Wow. Just wow. While I’m not surprised, I am a bit saddened not just by the story, but by the fact that Tommy somehow found a way to shift the blame back to black women. “Y’all need to stop having so many kids if you live in poverty.” Ummm…Tommy, the promising young black woman that was senselessly murdered was born in that same depressed community. Should her mother not have had her? That said, you did say some things that made sense. Yes the community needs to do a better job a policing itself. And yes it is quite suspicious that, somehow, the thugs involved killed the girl but managed to only “wound” the ex boyfriend. If they were both on their knees and shot execution style, how did he survive? Still, the mayor DOES need to do something. If police community relations are so bad in Newark that the community doesn’t feel comfortable going to the police in a case like this, then he should do something to bridge the gap. Community responsibility does not let elected official, who are paid by tax dollars, off the hook for doing their jobs.
