Dr Dre celebrated with Tyrese Gibson who requested that its time for Forbes magazine to update its list to include the bad boy who a few decades ago was coming at you straight out of compton!  Many other black men should take a look at Dr Dre who at one point was coming under fire for his 35 million dollar donation to USC college in his Native LA but that now seems like a drop in the bucket!

As a black man myself with aspirations to be financially secure, I like to see black men leverage what they have in order to get what they want.  I would have loved to see this brother hold on to his product as I believe too many times when blacks own something we just sell it to whites and are left with nothing, but who knows, Dre may have something even bigger up his sleeves so for now lets just all say KUDOS! ~T.S.

Dr. Dre says he’s the first billionaire in hip hop. Tyrese says it’s time to update the Forbes list.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney)

He’s a billionaire straight outta Compton — or so Dr. Dre says, anyway.

video shot by R&B artist Tyrese Gibson seems to confirm that Apple (AAPLFortune 500) is buying up Beats Electronics. Beats’ founder is rapper and entrepreneur Dr. Dre (Andre Young), and he’s pointing right at the lens in Gibson’s video.

“The first billionaire in hip hop right here from the motherf—-n West Coast,” Dre announces.

The Financial Times first reported Thursday that Apple is closing in on a $3.2 billion purchase of the high-end headphones and streaming music service. Representatives from Apple and Beats declined comment.

In the video, Gibson was hanging out with Dre and friends, holding the camera in selfie mode, when Gibson said the deal was official.

Is Beats worth $3.2 billion?

“Billionaire boys club for real homie,” Gibson said. “The Forbes list just changed. It came out like two weeks ago. They need to update the Forbes list!”

Gibson posted it to his Facebook (FBFortune 500) page but subsequently deleted iton Friday. To top of page

Enjoy your salty bucks Jay Z back on topic if Dr Dre has better business sense than Damon Dash then yeah don’t knock the hustle.

It’s the golden rule of entrepreneur and creative minds when they present something to the table they often have a better version on the drawing board.
