Alonzo Green, 22, has been charged with murder following a deadly shooting Tuesday afternoon in Southeast Oak Cliff, Dallas. An arrest document indicates that the authorities think the event was caused by a love triangle.

The incident happened at the Estelle Village Apartments parking lot, which is situated on the 5900 block of Highland Village Drive, just after three o’clock in the afternoon. After receiving many reports regarding shooting, police finally arrived at the area. Officers found 36-year-old Quentin Brown laying in the parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds. After being taken to a local hospital, he was declared dead.

Officers had apparently encountered both Green and Brown only minutes before to the incident. Officers observed Green’s Silver Dodge Charger license plate throughout this interaction. The identical car was seen by witnesses driving out of the apartment building as soon as the gunshots stopped.

Green lived in the Red Bird community about five miles distant. He was taken into custody by officers and taken to the Dallas Police headquarters. Green’s shoes had blood on them, according to the police, and the Dodge Charger had a gun inside.

Green told investigators that he had driven from his house to the parking lot and shot Brown, according to the affidavit.
