So at what point do we honestly say that being around a bunch of black folks is the worst place on earth for other black folks?

Now I know that might sound crazy or shocking but think about it, where else are we in such danger of losing our lives than we are around other black people?

You would think that we were all getting together to get prepared to watch Comedian Chris Rock perform along with a lot of other great black acts, see beautiful women, hang out with ya boys and maybe get it in at the end of the nite but instead what usually happens when the things above are present, its a recipe for disaster!  Take a look

Now this sh*t seems to take place every dayum year without fail.  No one seems to be able to escape niggerance and niggativity no matter how much money you have.

Its amazing that these people who are doing well in live decide they wanted to act like savages and they do this every dayum year.  I would have no need or want to go to one of these parties because we all know what will happen.  Give me an older less sissified crowd and Im good!  Remember, at an event like this is where Biggie lost his life, A BET AWARDS PARTY!

The incident tok place Sunday morning at 5:17 am at the Monalizza Restaurant and Banquet at 1161 N. Vermont Ave., where gunfire broke out at the location. “I’ve been told that it was a pre-party for BET,” officer Madison said of the event held at the Monalizza.

There were five victims in the incident, and one victim died at a local hospital, Madison stated. No suspect is currently in custody in connection with that incident.

Witnesses also told NBC LA that that the incident at the Monalizza was a BET Awards related party.

When contacted by THR, a BET spokesperson stated that the violent incidents occurred at events that were “unauthorized and unaffiliated” with official awards events held at L.A. Live.

“The two isolated incidents over the weekend occurred at locations with events that were unauthorized and unaffiliated with the BET Awards, BET Experience at L.A. LIVE or their partners,” the BET rep stated. “Security remains the number one priority for all official BET events and the network and all organizers will continue to maintain a safe environment for all planned activities.”

The events surrounding the BET Awards have been marred by violent incidents in the past. The 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards saw a scuffle between Rick Ross and Young Jeezy as well as a fight between rapper Gunplay and a member of 50 Cent‘s entourage.

Other awards shows have also seen violence erupt. At the 2004 Vibe Music Awards, G-Unit rapper Young Buck stabbed a man who sucker punched Dr. Dre. The most infamous incident occurred hours after the Soul Train Music Awards, when Notorious B.I.G. was shot to death leaving a Vibe-hosted after party in Los Angeles.

This is what so many other races, not only just whites even, are saying as they shake their heads. They catagorize black people harshly. The inner city violence with black thugs shooting bevery f#cken thing that moves is so out of control, so completely hopeless at this point, people judge. And then all blacks get lumped in. Not one day goes by that this isn’t happening.

Yea I see the comments they all jump on the bandwagon. With all the fight videos and shootings you can’t blame them.

Yeah, I see a lot of racist garbage. I’m glad you understood I said that with total respect to the good folks in Sotonation, its what other people perceive. Being part of Sotonation for about a year now has changed a lot of my views too on a whole class of good people being lumped in with garbage. It changed a lot of former steriotypical notions I used to have also. I’m a better perrson for having known and exchanging ideas with all of you. That’s true.

I think people should try to remove their emotions from these conversations and analyze the logic. Although I may not agree with their thoughts I understand how someone can come to a prejudiced conclusion. For example the white girl who worked the emergency lines who made the racist rant and got fired. After working in ER at a hospital in a poor neighborhood I see where she got her views. Coming in contact with the lowest of the low on a daily basis would make most people think negative. Personally I would think a smarter person would realize that it is a class thing and not a race thing.

I turned my Facebook back on a couple weeks ago when TJ spoke in DC so I could follow him and show my support. My last post were in 2011 and talked about black unemployment and black boys HS graduation rate. Thinking about niggas is exhausting and discouraging. I consider myself metally strong but there is no way I could live in this like TJ does. I wish I had the stregth to help more.

Your absolutely right. After reading the mess over Father’s Day weekend, I feel discouraged too. Your right, I don’t know where Tommy gets the strength to keep plodding through the mountain of shit and hatred. No wonder he gets overwhelmed from time to time and falls into a depression, who wouldnt? No kidding. Take care dear.

Tommy…Let an L.A. bwoy read between the lines for you. This one might not be totally BET related. You see dude pacing around with the motorcycle vest? That’s probably his homie that the medics are pumping on, on the ground. What ninjas stays around after a crime unless his peeps are a victim. The Vest, Rare Breed motorcycle club, kinda represents gang colors in the black motorcycle world. No broke “lames” wear them vest. All MUST have tricked out $50k+ Harley Davidsons. And they all aren’t the average law abiding, college grad, 9-5 type lames (Dam, that makes me a “lame” Tommy!! S.O.B).
This was also a BIG! Harley weekend in LA. Rare Breed is top of the food chain and there have been incidents/deaths in the past on this weekend.
Keep up the great work Tommy!!

Can’t believe shit the media say’s. Pre BET party? That did not look like a hollywood party to me. So happens the BET awards were going on and a shooting with black people happens so obviously the 2 are tied together right??? SMDH The BET awards and majority of other award shows are PRE TAPED! meaning this recently happened and the BET awards didn’t

I agree with Tommy. When ever you go to a night club and the dress code allows people to wear sneakers and any athletic wear, stay away from that place. There’s a 70% chance of fighting or gun shots. Sh–t like this make you just want to stay home and watch a good movie on ppv. It’s ridiculous that good black people can’t go to a social event because of these LOSERS causing causing havoc towards innocent people. I only go to social club that strictly enforce the dress codes.

Why does it seem that we as black folks can’t seem to come together peacefully no way no how and no where? Why what the hell is happening to our young men in that they have to be so quick to pic-up a gun to settle dumb arguments? What they dont no how to fight anymore?

    How to fix it?

For 1. I’d stop romanticizing tupac.
He was a hood hopper, a rapo, a garbage rapper…

Empowering a bad roll model is what a power that be wants you to do.
