The Spirit Moves Her To Write Me…

I was convicted by the Holy Spirit to write this to you. First off I wanted to say, I am in no means a saint. God is working on me EVERY second of the day. I respect your line of work because I practically grew up in radio stations. My father worked as a air personality and program director for NPR talk radio and various radio stations on the West and East Coast. Those were the days when people actually listen to radio instead of downloading mp3 songs on itunes and android apps.
Anyway, getting to the point of this informal letter…

This time last Monday my boyfriend’s brother and I were talking and he asked me how I felt about your show…
Immediately the, ” tell it like it is,” Virgo in me said. “I can not stand him! Everything he says is Negative! We as black people already have fingers pointing at us for the behavior of SOME… Every video he shows portrays inhumane qualities of a black women.” I even went as far as to say I believe you didn’t have a good relationship with your mother and just because your daughter has darker complextion doesn’t give you the right to freely use the word “darkie”. I have a aunt who is dark skinned and she is the one of the most proper and graceful women I have ever met. So your theory about darker black women was only appropriate for a certain specific breed of black women.
After listening to my point of view my boyfriends brother stated his opinion…
He felt as though you were using reverse psychology to inform black women from the worlds POV.
I thought about it and agreed with him.
We both concluded that your delivery to alert black women could be alot more positive and less vulgar. More civil rights activists and less black panther party. A negative plus a negative doesn’t create a positive.

2Timothy 25&26
25: Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth.
26:Then they will come to their senses and escape from the devil’s trap. For they have been held captive by him to do whatever he wants.

AGAIN I am FAR from a saint trust me. I have grown to see myself transition from a simple minded chick to a Lady. I honestly didn’t want to write you because I feel as though I have so much to work on myself. I thought,” Who am I to tell someone what to do?” The truth is I cannot walk in your shoes, but you can walk in his.

John 8 1-20
Jesus returned to the Mount of Olives, but early the next morning he was back again at the Temple. A crowd soon gathered, and he sat down and taught them. As he was speaking, the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in the act of adultery. They put her in front of the crowd. “Teacher,” they said to Jesus, “this woman was caught in the act of adultery. The law of Moses says to stone her. What do you say?” They were trying to trap him into saying something they could use against him, but Jesus stooped down and wrote in the dust with his finger. They kept demanding an answer, so he stood up again and said, “All right, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!” Then he stooped down again and wrote in the dust. When the accusers heard this, they slipped away one by one, beginning with the oldest, until only Jesus was left in the middle of the crowd with the woman. Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?” “No, Lord,” she said. And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.”

Please believe me I do not have the right to Judge you. I do not know your struggle as you may not know those women’s struggles. I just know you have so many people looking to you for advice. This is more than just you expressing your opinion. You have been called to lead. I am challenging you to find how you can build our race up with your words instead of reminding us of our wrongs.
This year is a Great year for those who Hear and… Obey.
Love Always,
Lovette
P.S. Please don’t judge me on my incorrect grammar. I am extremely tired right now. Lol

First off I want to say thank you for sending me this message, It means a lot when I get you guys to reach out to me.  Second off, your man is right!  I make it known that what I am doing is challenging black women to prove me wrong.

As far as saying darkie, I shouldn’t have to worry about my daughter being dark, shes actually lighter than me.  I am the one who still to this day gets called darkie so just like none of you get mad when a black person calls another black person a nigga nor does anyone get mad when a woman calls another woman a b!tch, why would I have to get permission to use the word darkie?

The funny part about all of this is how people will take one word that I say and use it as if its the total of what I said.  The last time I even used the word darkie was in the video about the olympians and that was me making a joke or better yet being flipant 🙂  But I adore my dark-skinned brothers and sisters but the issue is that we dont adore each other.

Oh, did you ever notice that I have a rude pet name for everyone?  Halfbreed, madden king, bastard sons of single mothers, Cake Face, Frosted Mini Beast?  Its just what I do.

As far as being like someone else, you do understand that if I had not done things the way that I did it, no one would have heard of me?  I am an original and I can only be me but if others think there is a better way of doing it then why arent they doing it that way instead of suggesting ways that I could do what I am doing better?  Now dont get me wrong, I take good advice but I would like it to be from people doing what I am doing, you know going out and making a difference!

I envite you and your man to listen to one of my live shows on Tuesday or Friday from 9p-1a Est and also call in to talk to me live.. then after that, tell me what you think. ~T.S.

I like your smokey self, and I seem to be the only female “on the planet, lol” who adores your (proper use of your) delivery, the more cusses the better. I even like snow queen, frosty, etc. I think it is terrific. And you would fade into obscurity if you altered that personality that uses a hammer to hit folks on the head. Do they listen otherwise? I watch news videos on another channel (nonono, I’m not cheating on you, lol!) But when the dry BOOOORING commentary comes on I immediately switch to a new video, the absolute mind numbing borativity (borativity?) of his speech is better than valium to sleep! Luvu Sotobabe!
