Police investigating double double homicide in Fresno (FOX26)

FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — Fresno police are at the scene of an overnight shooting at an apartment complex that left two people dead and two others wounded.

The Fresno Police Department received a shot-spotter activation of multiple shots fired early Saturday morning at Pleasant and Garland Avenues.

When officers arrived at the apartment complex they found two people who had been shot to death and another wounded.

Officers and EMS tried life-saving measures on two men ages 29 and 23 years old, but they died at the scene.

A third man aged 28 was taken by ambulance to Community Regional Medical Centers emergency trauma center. He is in critical but stable condition.

A fourth gunshot victim, a 23-year-old woman, was dropped off at the hospital. She is in stable condition.

Numerous bullet casings were found along Pleasant street.

Police are investigating multiple crimes scenes and have Pleasant Ave. closed south of Dakota Ave.

The apartment complex is also on lockdown with nobody allowed to enter or exit.

Police have learned there was a late-night party happening in a neighboring complex when the shooting started.

The motive is still being investigated.

There were multiple people present when the shooting happened so police are asking for witnesses to come forward.
