Woman, 5 children found unharmed in alleged kidnapping

A woman suspected of kidnapping her children in a custodial dispute in Massachusetts was arrested in Danbury yesterday. 

State Police received an alert that 40-year old Shareen Tanna took her three children and two other kids from Pittsfield Massachusetts and was likely headed to Rochester, New York, via I-84.  Tanna threatened to harm herself and her children. 

Her car was located at a gas station on Newtown Road and she was taken into custody.  All five children in the car were uninjured. 

Tanna was held on $100,000 bond for arraignment today and is awaiting extradition to Massachusetts.
