By looking at your diet and addressing inflammation in your body you could help heal/prevent a variety of diseases.
The majority of inflammatory diseases start in your gut and it’s the chronic inflammation in your gut can seriously mess up the normal functioning of your body! Many health problems have inflammation as a part of the disease, these include obesity, insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, periodontal disease, stroke and heart disease. It’s been found that the connection between fat, bacteria and diabetes is inflammation. Inflammation is the body’s natural reaction to infection or injury and it does work, but only in small doses. It is when inflammation is present over a long period of time and becomes chronic inflammation that it becomes extremely harmful to the body.
Patrick Schlievert, Ph.D., UI professor and head of microbiology and co-senior author of a new study published in the journal PLOS ONE says “The idea is that when fat cells (adipocytes) interact with environmental agents, in this case, bacterial toxins, they then trigger a chronic inflammatory process. We know that chronic inflammation leads to insulin resistance, which can then lead to diabetes. So people are very interested in the underlying causes of chronic inflammation.”
Chronic inflammation can be caused by poor diet, toxic chemicals and stress and unfortunately these can be bought on by different aspects of our lives including environmental, physical and psychological areas. Your body does not know how to deal with this inflammatory overload and your defense system becomes overpowered and so confused that your immune system doesn’t know what is foreign and what is you and literally turns on itself, destroying healthy cells, tissue and everything else in its path.
It’s no secret that a healthy diet and lifestyle plays a major part in a healthy life. It cannot be stressed enough that dietary components can either trigger or prevent inflammation from taking root in your body. So to prevent inflammation follow these 5 simple rules.
1. Eat more plant-based, whole, nutrient-dense foods. Cut out the foods which cause inflammatory, such as refined sugar and flour, processed junk, animal products, etc. If you add a variety of plant-based whole foods to your diet you will flood your body with the vitamins, minerals, cancer-fighting phytochemicals, antioxidants and fiber it needs to recover from chronic inflammation.
2. Focus on gut health. Your gut holds approximately 60-70% of your immune system, so if your gut is in bad shape then your immune system is more than likely going to be the same way. A great way to start is by taking a daily high quality pro-biotic.
3. Identify food allergies and chronic (or hidden) infections. You may have food allergies, the most common are gluten, soy, dairy, eggs and yeast. You can get these checked with blood and urine tests.
4. Relax and rest more. When you are sleeping your body is hard at work repairing and restoring your glorious cells. This is why most doctors recommend seven to eight hours of sleep per night. If you are getting less sleep over time you will prevent your immune system from fully repairing itself and making it harder for your body to fight off infections.
Stress goes hand in hand with a lack of sleep, when you are stressed out all the time, you’re also producing more of the hormone cortisol — inflammation’s BFF. You can easily reduce chronic inflammation by focusing on stress reduction, the can be done by increasing the hours you sleep, yoga, meditation, long walks, less technology or a much needed vacation.
5. Reduce toxins in your food, home and personal care products. Go Organic, by eating foods whenever possible will make a huge difference to your guts health and choose non toxic personal care and cleaning products to reduce your exposure to toxic chemicals and pesticides.

I’m thinking about just eating 2-3 bananas a day and drinking water plus pop 2-3 food source vitamin capsules a day from dhealthstore for a week and see what happens.
