Tom Coughlin Resigns as Coach of the New York Giants (Video)

Unless you have been living under a rock, you know that Tom Coughlin has resigned from the New Giants coaching position.  So you might be wondering why am I even writing this post in the first place?  Coach Coughlin has been an incredible influence on the players he’s coached. As seen in the clip above, he is be described as the father figure that several of these players never had growing up.

For those that missed Coughlin’s press conference (see the video below), probably the most touching moment was when he directly addressed Eli Manning. Warning: The Feels Are Real.  I admit I cried just like Eli did.

Whether you love or hate the Giants, you got to respect the man for providing a major influence in these young men’s lives.  The coaching styles of Coughlin are just another example of how structure and discipline can create a positive influence on a young man’s life. Hopefully, the lessons that Coughlin taught these young men, will be passed down to their sons and so on.
