Why is it that so many black women have so many kids yet still cant keep them away from the next thug d*ck? You cant keep them from the club and no matter what, their kids tend to come last in the order of importantance! Again, this woman chose to protect her man over her kids! WAY TO GO QUEENS!!!
Philadelphia Toddler Accidentally Kills Sister With Loaded Gun
A toddler in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania accidentally killed his older sister while handling a loaded handgun on Saturday morning. The two-year-old boy and three of his siblings were playing with the gun which was left at the home the previous night. The toddler pointed the loaded and cocked .357 magnum at his sister and the gun went off.
The victim was identified on Sunday as Jamara Stevens. The bullet hit Jamara in her shoulder area; the bullet then traveled through her chest striking her in her heart. The child was rushed to the hospital in the back of a police car but was pronounced dead at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia around 10:20 a.m.
The 14-year-old brother found the gun on top of the refrigerator where it had been left by the mother’s boyfriend the night before. The four children, who included the oldest brother, the victim, 7-year-old sister and the toddler, were playing with the gun in their bedroom. The mother, Tiffany Goldwire, was down the hall in the bathroom when the gun fired.
When police arrived to the home, located on the 3800 block of Wallace Street in West Philly, they found Goldwire holding Jamara in her arms. The 2-year-old boy who fired the weapon had a burn resulting from the discharge and gunpowder residue in his hands.
Goldwire was questioned for at least five hours by the police but refused to fully cooperate during the interview. Neither the child’s mother nor boyfriend explained why the gun was left at the home after his visit the night before.
Too many innocent children are killed every year because they live in homes where guns are kept unlocked and loaded. A study published in Pediatrics found that there are close to 1.7 million children under 18-years-old who live with an unsecured and loaded gun in the house. According to Beth Ebel, M.D. of the American Academy of Pediatrics, many parents who own guns are responsible about keeping them stored safely but fail to raise concern when allowing their child to visit someone else’s home.
The nation’s focus tends to shift to the tightening of gun law whenever a tragic school shooting arises but the biggest threat to children is commonly found right inside their own homes. Every year more than 3,000 kids are accidentally injured by guns and nearly 140 children are killed.
Virtually everyone has seen a child use their thumb and index finger as they pretend to shoot bad guys. This should ring proof positive of a child’s fascination for guns. Children are curious and creative by nature so the impulse to shoot a gun if found is innate or absolutely natural.
The National Rifle Association’s Eddie Eagle Gun Safety Program has promoted firearm safety through law-enforcement agencies, in youth groups and schools since 1988. The hard truth is research shows, even after being warned; most children cannot resist the temptation of handling a gun.
The professor of applied behavior analysis at the University of South Florida, Raymond Miltenberger, Ph.D., says many children can recite what they should do if the find a firearm but still do the wrong thing when it counts.
This unfortunate tragedy confirms the need for added safety and responsibility when housing handguns inside of homes where children reside.
On Saturday a two-year-old child in West Philadelphia accidentally shot and killed his older sister while playing with a loaded handgun. The toddler and three of his siblings were playing with the gun which was left at the home by their mother’s boyfriend the previous night. The unsuspecting little boy pointed the loaded and cocked .357 magnum at his sister and the gun discharged killing 11-year-old Jamara Stevens.

Jump into a conversationAnother story to fall under the heading of “Yo Momma Black.” The article focused on gun violence but the adage that it’s people and NOT guns apply just as well here. The social environment was/is so toxic that if guns were not available other tools or instruments of violence would be used. No addressing of the crises of single headed households in black communities – these are NOT strong black women. They fail to resist the temptation to get pregnant and have multiple children without a stable household, but apparently that is not important — that in itself is a crisis that warrants the question of why is it not important!
Mr. Sotomayor, I just caught this on youtube and then immediately googled her name (TF) and guess what? Not only was she uncooperative on the day of her daughter’s untimely death….but she still is as far as I got! My Mother and Stepfather recently had to physically save a child’s life next door to their home and faced the SAME obstructive behavior. They quite literally fought a pit bull off of a 5/6 yr old girl who was the cousin of the little neighbor boy who lived next door to my parents! He came to their door screaming “He’s eating Myesha!!!” My Mom says she cannot unhear the fear or the words to this day. The Mother was at work, the bf was who knows where, the pit was at the home though….as were a 5/6 yr old girl (cousin), 7 yr old boy (her son), a 13/14 yr old girl (her daughter). As I stated, Jarvis came screaming for help and my Mother (mindless of the bone fusion she had 5 yrs ago) and her (very large, thank God) Husband went running out the door! My Mom picked up a hoe from her garden on the way out the gate and put it to immediate use on the face of the dog (which did NO GOOD). Her husband tried eye gouging, rib kicking, and head punching….also NO GOOD! Seeing that small talk was useless and putting all his fingers on his right hand at enormous risk he finally tried grabbing the hard headed pooch by the INSIDE of his top jaw and he said he felt something give so he slung that dog like a discus (sp?) at the Olympics. Apparently this gave them enough time to bring the children to my Mother’s home and await help. The little girl needed stitches and wouldn’t let go of my Mother so she had to be transported along side her. (She certainly didn’t mind doing so) By this time, everyone realized that the animal had been contained in a dog carrier by the older daughter. The ambulance and all other authority types were leaving and Mom/Auntie had just arrived home. These geniuses let Mom keep watch on Pooch and within the 10 minutes that it required for Animal Control to arrive…..Pooch let himself out and was free at last, free at last great God almighty, well you see where I’m going with this… The neighbors watched her put Pooch in bf’s truck actually and then watched as she bald face lied to the police, animal control, and my parents.
I simply don’t get that.
The children are the ultimate victims at the hands of their parents’ neglect. Can you imagine the emotional and mental repercussions for the 2 year old when he grows up to know he killed his sister? Even though what happened is no fault of his, he is likely to blame himself and suffer. Can you imganie how the 14 year old must feel? But in the end, is the mother’s fault, who not only does not protect her children but is uncooperative with the police to protect her boyfriend (who must not be very intelligent to leave a loaded gun in a household with 4 children). Very sad story, Jamara RIP.
