A Friend Of Eric Garner!

By: Tommy “Tj” Sotomayor

Snapshot 2 (7-21-2014 5-09 PM)

No Matter what you think of me, my thought process is, what are you doing?  While people tried to talk crap about me and what I said in this instance or that, the one thing they dont have on their side that I have on my side is being there.

I am where the action is and I am actually doing things for people.  After I heard what happened to Eric Garner, I went from Chicago To Staten Island to get opinions from family as well as friends and On this nite I spoke to an OG in Staten Island named Supreme.

We spoke in his neighborhood out side of his house where the conditions are not so lovely and I did this at night not in the day light and not with any security!  The conversation we had is one that many people need to have openly and honestly.  Check It out!

Part 1

Part 2

Now aint it funny that a friend of Eric Garner agreed with me on what I was saying about causing our own problems a lot?  I am tired of justifying myself to niggaz who do nothing at all but stalk people on the internet and look for something wrong with that they say while never giving credit for what they do!

    Some black people get what you are trying to have meaningful discussions about Tommy but ni**as cannot mentally process anything logical that you may say ,you end up sounding like “Charlie Browns teacher” to them ,you know “womp ,womp ,womp ,womp” regardless thank you for what you do!

    Great discussion. You don’t miss a beat Tommy. The passion you have for our people is heartwarming. I may not always agree with your delivery but you always mean well. Take care.

      yes i agree with the delivery part as well. 50 ..n.. words per show on average too many. Yet I respect him outside of that 100%. When I watch his episodes i can almost speak exactly what he is going to say in unison. Not a bad thing, just a parallel universe of thought. With the added coincidence that i resemble him facial down to the complexion. Wait Tommy…my long lost…no. Just one of those things. 🙂

          funny i was thinking the same about you, Not kidding, Thanks. and ps. hmmmmm lets stay in contact. I have a son who is going to do good things in the Overtown, Miami community. He will arrive next month from Japan. Ok..Ok. I know. I am one of those “brothers ” whom jumped ship. His mother is Japanese, Anyway long version edited; If I spent my prime days waiting for a dark black, mid black or pale black woman to accept me, I probably would never had a child. I probably would be gay by now. (No way)
          So I am about to have a reunion with him after 16 years, He is a b ball player. He was ranked #1 in Japan while in jr, high. Just wanna keep a network of intelligentsia. Man..thats a pretty fancy word. 🙂

            I would be honored to be a part of your network of intelligentsia *blushing*. No judgment here. People can love whomever they want. I totally understand where you’re coming from. I was taught not to have children out of wedlock and I honored my parents’ wishes. Now that I’m in my late thirties I’m judged because I don’t have children. I’ve had women gossip about me and make up lies, saying I’m barren, I was molested by my
            dad and other foolishness. I don’t know why it’s such a big deal. Anyway I’m happy you’re reuniting with your son. I know how proud you must be. Don’t be a stranger OK? [email protected]

            Nothing strange about any of this. 🙂 I am honored…however if you can see me blush…I am probably in very bad shape. Proud to be a black berry. You will be hearing from me soon @Basquiat333. I love this Tommy guy. He is bringing more folk together for better or worse; because we the people,must come first. OK…Alright. :}

    I would think this would be a time when all black men would put aside their differences and unite against blatant injustice. Why aren’t your haters more angry at these killer cops than they are at you?

      This would be the time beeecaussse…..The stars are aligning in Virgo rising? It has been a long time that we have “set aside” anything. HATE to say it,however,I am sure it is not a late breaking news story.I said to most people when I first heard of an Obama, that this is the start of a new,new age. An age of which we as a people are in far more trouble than i previously experienced. And I mean “we” as a country as well as “we” of the darkest light. Oh yeah, killer cops, buttered toast, same menu. I feel a Radio Rahim moment coming on. Go to New York;brush your teeth with a fork. I was born in Brooklyn. Was mainly raised in Wetchester. Ny politics and plans had all this mapped out by the early 90’s. with surely some signs along the way.

    Tommy is so right. I got a Dui 3/4 yrs ago, was thrown down by those garbage cans for not using my car blinker. Then had probation, cops who knew me put me under arrest for not going to dui class (was in hospital with broken leg), arrested me very calmly, gave me ticket, let me go. The difference between cops who know their people in their community was like night and day. Oh, I blew .09, not the crime of the century to get my ass kicked. I reported it to internal affairs..HAAAAAAAAA!!!!
