According to Roswell police, Jahmal Christopher Samual and Jordan Chappell Williams were planning to kill a man who had robbed a mutual acquaintance.

On Feb. 7, Samual allegedly shot and killed Kobe Williams after mistaking him for the man they had been hunting. Kobe Williams’ brother, Jordan Williams, was at the location when shots were fired, according to police. The gun used in fatal shooting was found in Jordan’s possession, according to authorities.

Before the brothers’ mother knew of the arrests she posted on her Facebook page video from her son’s memorial service this past Saturday. Family and friends released balloons. and she wrote of her grief in losing her 17 year old son, “If you know me, you know how much I love my boys.”

Also prior to the arrests, the family posted an online appeal for money to help with funeral and burial costs, calling Kobe, “a victim of gun violence.”

Both men are charged with murder, participation in criminal street gang activity, theft by receiving stolen property and unlawful to communicate any threat of injury/damage to deter from assisting criminal street gang member.

They’re scheduled for a court appearance Feb. 23.
