Carter says his mom never got to go to her own prom, so he wanted to take her to his.

Initially, Carter said he wasn’t sure he wanted to go at all. Then he talked to his mom.

The pair coordinated outfits and had a send-off to the dance with family and friends.

Carter is heading to Florida Memorial for college, so he said it’s nice to have this time with his mom.
