The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office released the name of a mother of three who was fatally shot in south Sacramento Wednesday morning.

Thirty-one-year-old Tamisha Evette Glashen, who also went by the name Meesha Ridge, was shot to death in a case of domestic violence, police believe. Officers arrested her ex-boyfriend, Dameshlo Green, 34. He turned himself in to police for a parole violation and was later booked into Sacramento County Jail for homicide.

Ridge was an online sensation. She used social media to spread her knowledge of fashion design.

Thousands of people were drawn to her videos on putting together clothing pieces on a budget. She had more than 140,000 subscribers to her YouTube channel.

Her charismatic personality shined through while she shared simple tips on sewing.

Fellow fashion designer Lauren Taylor of Mississippi was one of Ridge’s followers. She would watch her videos daily.

“She had a wonderful, beautiful spirit about herself. Always smiling. You got the impression she was a really nice girl that really just loved to sew and wanted to share that with the world,” Taylor said.

Ridge also had an online fabric store where fans could purchase some of her designs.

Her loyal followers have turned to social media to mourn her loss. The hashtag: #MeeshaTaughtMe has been trending on Facebook and Twitter.

One tweet read: “Tamisha Ridge was the first person to convince me I could sew! She has been such an inspiration. RIP Sweet Meesha.”

Ridge’s life abruptly came to an end when she was shot in her sleep.

Homicide investigators say Green snuck into her bedroom and opened fire. Several relatives and Ridge’s three children were inside of the home at the time.

Real talk…when you have 3 children at 31 you are setting yourself up to pick from the bottom of the barrel.

Real talk pt.2…not only do you need to understand the man’s mental health status, but we should inquire about the women’s past mental state. She was a beautiful, promising, happy young mother full of potential; as far as we know. Is it possible that her circumstances were not such, and had her exploring all options for an out?

Guys, this is never the answer. Be weary of people with no bottom to their sorrow. Somehow they find a way to bring you down with them.

That sounds harsh. Meesha moved on and was happy with a man and her children. She made a success of herself doing what she loved and shared it with the world amd included her family. She was clearly happy. It appears she did the right thing by leaving an abusive relationship. Its not her fault that she was murdered by her jealous ex-boyfriend. Some people will never know their partners are abusive until later. Perpetrators of domestic violence are sometimes groomers, mostly manipulative liars.
I really don’t understand your comment, “…when you have 3 children at 31 you are setting yourself up to pick from the bottom of the barrel.”
That sounds like a big generalisation and discriminating against single parents if you are suggesting that single parents can’t do any better finding abusive or bad partners. I am really offended. Not every single parent has such low self worth, and not every person who thinks they can’t find better will settle for less.

Excuse me? 31 is old enough to have 3 children. 25 is too, depending on how far apart they are born. What type of nonsense are you talking about?? Disrespectful for no reason.

lot of women shaming in this video. no matter what happened you simple do not take a life!!! don’t blame the women for the men she chose! and we all know how men can sweettalk and pretend they are a good guy in the beginning! blame the man for not treating a woman, child etc with respect!!!! and she was married and lived a good life. it’s ridiculous that a woman should change her whole life cause some man is mentally unstable.

I created an account on this site just to let you know how much of an ASS HOLE you are! How dare you blame her for this. If you want to give advice, how about you send a message to MEN to stop killing people. WTF? “I am so tired of young black women dating the type of men” HOW ABOUT BE TIRED OF KILLERS, JERK! … “I dont have much to say except women if a man even looks like hes gonna hit you.. Leave and never look back.” <— Yea, you sure haven't said a damn thing. SHE DID LEAVE. Again, if you want to use the little talent you do have to stop domestic abuse, write to the murders and abuses. Don't accuse the victims. I'm disgusted. Meesha taught me how to sew pillow cases about a year ago. And i found her tonight to sew a pair of pants. I read in the comments that she passed in 2014. Meaning she was long gone before I discovered her. I am heartbroken.
