Mother of Four Reportedly Killed by Ex-Girlfriend Months After Filing A Restraining Order Against Her

A mother of four was reportedly murdered by her ex-girlfriend in Atlanta, Georgia earlier this week.

Shakyia Perkins, the victim’s ex-girlfriend, fatally shot Corneshia Butler on Thursday. Friends and family claim that Butler had a restraining order against Perkins because she burned the young mother’s Mercedes-Benz last year and stalked her for months after their breakup. Perkins is also said to have been envious of Butler and committed the violent act in front of her children.

Butler ended their relationship many months ago, and social media posts from acquaintances indicated the former pair had a history of domestic problems throughout the course of their six-year partnership. Perkins published a mysterious Facebook post from the day before Butler passed away about starting again and forgetting the past.

Perkins was arrested and charged with first-degree murder, possession of a firearm or weapon, and cruelty to children as posted by the Fulton County Police Department. Her previous records were related to burning Butler’s vehicle in October 2021.

News of Butler’s death went viral on Facebook and Twitter as users were still mourning the tragic loss of Shanquella Robinson, a young woman who died during a vacation to Cabo with a group of friends.

We announce the passing of Corneisha Butler, a mother of four, who was killed by her toxic ex-girlfriend yesterday, with tremendous sadness.

Sadly, Kayla, Corneisha Butler’s ex-girlfriend, killed her. This happened after Kayla, the envy of Corneisha’s success, harassed and threatened her for months.

Just a few days before the murder, Kayla went to Corneisha’s house and set fire to her pink Mercedes and Jeep, two of Corneisha’s favorite things. It is evident that Kayla set out to ruin Corneisha’s life, and in the end, she stole the most priceless asset of her life.

This is a terrible incident of how hatred and jealousy resulted in needless killing. The family of Corneisha is in our thoughts and prayers during this trying time.

Investigators arrived at the shooting scene. At least three shots were fired at Corneisha Butler, who passed away there and then. She was pronounced dead on the scene by the paramedics.

The findings state that Kayla threatened and harassed the victim for months before this murder occurred. According to the allegations, she was envious of Corneisha’s success. Kahla had gone to Corneisha’s house just before the murder and set fire to her Mercedes and Jeep.

The deceased had both of these vehicles, and she treasured them both. This incident made it especially clear that Kayla was trying to ruin the life of her ex-girlfriend.

People now claim to be connected to Corneisha’s murder after a video went viral. Although no such websites broadcast the film, phony videos that claim to be the deceased’s final recording are occasionally made their way online. A lot of videos are viral and include inaccurate information.
