So this machine took a kitchen knife to her own child and killed her yet we are supposed to worship our mothers no matter what because they are black?

Mayo

A 36-year-old woman was arrested Friday in the Aug. 19 stabbing death of her 6-year-old daughter in an apparent attempted murder-suicide at a home on New Haven Drive, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.

Purkanah Yisrael Mayo had initially been hospitalized after stabbing herself with the same kitchen knife and was in life-threatening condition, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Atarah

The girl, identified only at Atarah in a GoFundMe page, “sustained lethal injuries when she was stabbed by her mother,” according to the Florida Department of Children and Families child fatality report for Duval County. The brief report also said the mother, “whose parental rights were previously terminated,” was visiting the child’s home when the stabbing occurred.

No one at the home off Cesery Boulevard would comment on the incident the morning after, but the Sheriff’s Office said four other people were there at the time of the attack, one of those another child. No motive has been released.

The child-services agency indicated it had prior involvement with the girl in the last five years, but did not specify what.

The New Haven Drive crime scene the morning after the double stabbing, where no one inside wished to comment.

A guardian ad litem who set up the GoFundMe in Atarah’s name posted, “I was blessed to have known Atarah. She was a bright young girl, with a contagious smile and a huge heart.”

Duval County court records show Mayo had some evictions, criminal traffic violations and a conviction for resisting police.
