Singer Joy Villa gets political at the Grammys with ‘Make America Great Again’ gown emblazoned with Trump’s name
Last night, Joy Villa became a star. Villa shocked the liberal sensibilities (oxymoron) of the attendees of the Academy Awards by wearing a dress that said Make America Great Again on the front and Trump on the back. And at the precise time that those same liberals are seeing a deep decline in attendance for their movies (Right Leo, Matt, George?) Villa’s record sales have simply exploded.
Before her appearance her record sales ranked #543,202, but by midnight she had moved up the charts to number 3. She passed both Beyonce and Lady gaga. That represents a 18,106,633% increase in sales.
At the same time men and women who dwell in Mama’s basement, collecting food stamps reacted negatively. But before you judge them harshly, consider this, they might not react that way if God had given them a fully functional brain.

Politics made it to the Grammys!
It didn’t take long for the 59th Annual Grammy Awards to get political as singer Joy Villa arrived on the red carpet in a form-fitting ‘Make America Great Again’ dress.
The red, white and blue gown not only had President Donald Trump’s campaign slogan on the front, but it also had his last name scrolled across the train.
Villa’s bedazzled open-back dress was first covered by a flowing white gown, but her statement-making dress was later unveiled on the red carpet.

The 25-year-old, who is not nominated, also posted a photo of her heart-shaped purse on Instagram with the caption: ‘My whole artistic platform is about LOVE! I couldn’t be where I am today without the love and tenderness of those beautiful supporters and friends around me.
‘Thank you I hope you enjoy tonight’s @grammysawards2017 and remember to forget your problems and focus on your future! You are infinite and beautiful and no one can stop you but you.
‘So go out and celebrate yourself as a winner no matter what, together with those you adore!’ she wrote.
And though the self-proclaimed feminist (according to her Twitter bio) said her platform is about ‘love’, she drew immediate criticism on social media for her ensemble.
‘@Joy_Villa imagine choosing to end your career before anyone even knew who you were,’ one user tweeted.
‘How much did he pay you,’ asked another Twitter user.

And unsurprisingly, there were several people who were in support of the singer’s gown as some Twitter users called her ‘brave’, ‘courageous’ and a ‘true American’.
Villa is known for making statements, evident through her 2016 Grammys dress made by fashion designer Andre Soriano.
The singer’s ‘pro-Trump’ dress was also made by Soriano, according to Villa who also tweeted at Trump letting him know she wore the gown.
Villa responded to the critics on Instagram: ‘Sometimes you just gotta be free to express yourself.
‘Thank you to all of my supporters and fellow believers. Life is about living free and loving it. Be your beautiful selves tonight!’
In past years, the entertainment world has ranked her as one of the ‘Worst Dressed’ at Grammys for her outlandish outfits.
The artist promotes herself as an actress, singer-songwriter, and vegan bikini bodybuilder on social media. She also wrote on Twitter that she was ‘Grammy-considered’.
