MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) — Leila and Tony Lewis were the grandparents of local rapper HoneyKomb Brazy. Brazy has been involved in some high profile shootouts in recent years.

NBC 15 News sources say Wednesday night’s supposed homicide may have been sending a message to the rapper.

At least two videos of ambush attacks on the rapper have been posted on the internet and reported by website hiphopdx.com. They’re described as moments when HoneyKomb Brazy and his friends were attacked by armed gunmen. It’s not clear exactly where those attacks occurred.

Brazy has posted that he’s felt the brunt of attacks like these before, claiming to have been shot 10 times. He has posted pictures of himself in the hospital.

His latest rap release is called “Dead People.” It’s a title that now appears tragically prophetic.

We reached out to Nashon Jones, also known as HoneyKomb Brazy, for a comment about the death of his grandparents. He responded by saying, “Yes I can, but I do nothing for free. Sorry.”

For now, his music will do the talking.
