A California teen livestreamed a deadly car crash on Instagram and then filmed her mortally wounded sister in the aftermath.Obdulia Sanchez, 18, was filming herself Friday while allegedly driving under the influence on a California highway with two 14-year-old girls in the back seat, according to KSFN-TV.

The camera suddenly shakes frantically as the girls scream. When the film begins again, a bloody scene unfolds.

“Jacqueline, please wake up,” Obdulia says while trying to shake 14-year-old Jacqueline Sanchez.

“I f—king killed my sister, OK? I know I’m going to jail for life. I understand that. I don’t f—king care, though. I’m sorry, baby. I’m gonna hold it down.”

The California Highway Patrol said Obdulia was under the influence when the car rolled over into a barbed-wire fence before coming to rest in a field.

Jacqueline was sitting in the back of the car without a seat belt and was killed when she was ejected from the vehicle.

Obdulia was being held in the county jail on charges of vehicular manslaughter while under the influence.

The family said Jacqueline was killed while preparing Quincenera on Sunday. They set up a GoFundMe page to help raise money for her funeral.

An 18-year-old woman is accused of killing her sister while drunk driving in California and live streaming the entire ordeal to Instagram.

Obdulia Sanchez appeared to film the extremely graphic video, showing her 14-year-old sister, Jacqueline Sanchez Estrada, severely injured and dying on the ground as she screams about going to jail for life. A second girl, who is also 14, was hospitalized after suffering major trauma to her right leg, police said.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Obdulia was arrested on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter and drunk driving and is being held on $300,000 bail.

Jacqueline, who was about to celebrate a major milestone in her life, is being remembered by her family and friends as a happy, easy-going person.

In the Instagram video, Obdulia is seen driving the white Buick wearing a red while hat singing and making hand gestures. At one point, she holds up her middle finger to the camera.

Suddenly, the crash occurs and intense screams can be heard in the video as the camera violently shakes.

While the video is still recording, Obdulia says, “Everybody, if I go to f*****g jail for life, you already know why.”

Obdulia moves the camera to show her sister Jacqueline on the grass with what looks to be extreme head trauma while the other passenger in the vehicle waves for help.

“My sister is dying,” Obdulia says over the video. “Look, I love my sister to death.”

Obdulia kisses her sister on her face and shakes her numerous times to try to wake her up. But blood continues to pour out of a severe laceration on her head.

“I killed my sister,” Obdulia screams. “I know I am going to jail for life, alright. This is (the) last thing that I wanted to happen, OK. I don’t care though, I am holding it down. I love you. Rest in peace sweetie. If you don’t survive, I am so sorry.”

The incident happened sometime around 6:45 p.m. July 21 in the area of Henry Miller Road, just east of Mercey Springs Road, the California Highway Patrol said.

According to CHP, the car was traveling west when it veered onto the right shoulder. Obdulia over-corrected the turn and that caused the Buick to swerve across both lanes and crash through a wire fence.

According to Merced County Sheriff Vern Warnke, Jacqueline wasn’t wearing a seatbelt in the vehicle prior to it crashing. As a result, she was ejected through the back window of the car as it crashed and continuously rolled over off of Henry Miller Road.

Police told ABC 30 that they suspect Obdulia was “under the influence” when the car crashed and rolled “into a barbed wire fence and then into a field,” though arrest details and a blood alcohol content test haven’t yet been disclosed.

The other passenger in the vehicle, who hasn’t yet been identified, was also not wearing a seatbelt and “suffered lacerations to her legs,” Los Banos Police Officer Chris Smith said.

After the crash, Obdulia was detained by officers and brought into an ambulance after she was combative, screaming that her sister was dead as officers tried to calm her.

3. The Woman Who Downloaded the Live Stream Said Obdulia Was Driving Recklessly Before the Crash

In an interview with BuzzFeed News, the woman who recorded a copy of the video, Mary Hernandez, said she heard about the footage on Obdulia’s Instagram, so she downloaded it before it could disappear. She added that it had been up for at least 19 hours and Instagram never took it down.

“At first I was skeptical but the more people reached out to me, then her cousin confirmed it was her,” Hernandez told BuzzFeed. “It’s just so insane to believe that happened to girls from my city. It is for sure an eye-opener. I see people on their phones on social media all the time.

“I think this video can get a lot of people to think twice about using their phones while driving now.”

Hernandez said that prior to the fatal crash, Sanchez recorded herself at the wheel driving recklessly and almost clipping cars.
