Jump into a conversation22 + 5 kids -NO HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA – NO COLLEGE DEGREE- NO JOB. She isn’t ‘handling her business’ when she’s on welfare/food stamps/section 8 and doesn’t have at least TWO JOBS. I’m raising 2 grandkids….my nails aren’t done, my hair isn’t dyed…I drive a 13 yr old vehicle (but I do have a 110k a yr income for real) WHY? Because every cent and every minute is devoted 110% to my grandchildren and my husband. When I was a single mom of ONE…….I held down THREE JOBS…and went to college.
I was only 21 when I had my first, but married and active duty in the Army so my situation was different. I will not judge this young woman because judgement is not going to help her or her children or anyone else, wisdom and HELP is. She does need tough love though. At some point these girls need the incentive cut off. I believe that after 2 babies the state should stop paying for them, no more Medicaid; and some states are pondering sterilization. That is harsh, but look at this girl!!! Cut off the money, the WIC, food stamps, housing, all of the incentives that give these girls the drive to rather stay home and make babies than go to college or get good jobs.
