MEMPHIS, TN – A woman is dead following a two-car accident in Frayser. Witnesses say the cars were speeding down James road. Local 24 has exclusive surveillance video that a witness says shows the two drivers arguing just minutes before the deadly crash.

The video shows one woman walk over to another woman. They say a few words and then it gets physical. The fight goes on for a few minutes when one woman walks back to her car covering herself after her shirt and bra were ripped off during the fight. Then the drivers speed off. An oil city employee says these are the same two drivers in this morning’s fatal crash.

“When I heard the speed racing and then would I heard the boom that’s what really got my attention out there to look and when I looked the car was already on fire,” said a neighbor who did not want to be identified.

She heard the two cars racing down James Road. The woman who died was in this charred car. She says two men pulled over and tried to put the flames.

“They tried to save her but the car was burning so bad that they couldn’t they stood there until they emptied out their fire extinguisher,” said the neighbor. “They shook their head they was not able they couldn’t do it.”

Investigators spent the morning piecing together what happened. They questioned the other driver and witnesses as well.
