WENTZVILLE, Mo. (KMOV.com) –The suspect who stabbed a woman at the General Motors plant in Wentzville late Wednesday night turned herself in Thursday, police said.

According to court documents, Alicia Turner has been charged with assault, unlawful use of a weapon and burglary.

Major Paul West said the victim, 27, suffered non-life threatening injuries after being stabbed inside the plant around 10:45 p.m. She was stabbed in the chest, back, arms and legs with a small knife.

Police said Turner used her husband’s employee key card to get inside the plant, went to the area where the victim worked and waited. When the victim drove by on a forklift, Turner attacked the victim with a stun gun then stabbed her multiple times.

Turner told the victim she was attacking her because the victim had been having an affair with her husband. The victim was able to get off the forklift, began to scream, and tried to run away. Police say Turner stabbed her a final time in the back before the victim fled. She was transported to a local hospital where she was treated for multiple stab wounds and released.

Nobody tried to detain the suspect or stop the attack, police told News 4.

Plant spokesperson Darren Copeland said the details leading up to the stabbing are currently unclear. He also said it appears to be an isolated incident and there is no known risk to any other workers.

Had a large knife been used in the attack, police said the wounds would have been more severe. The victim told police she knew her attacker and admitted to having an affair with Turner’s husband prior to the attack.

Turner turned herself into Wentzville police around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday evening.
