Watching you do this is WONDERFUL. Now it SHOULD be woman work, but in her absence, you have to step up, and I commend you, sir.

I believe the extensions can stay for as long as 6 weeks fairly safely, and yes, they help with actual growth, maintenance, and protection.

Cornrow styles are particularly good at doing the same thing without extensions. Part of the problem with that is how it’s been popular (for ease of maintenance reasons, I’m sure!) with thugs, and so you might not want that for her.

You have a BEAUTIFUL daughter. Keep on fathering her.

Oh one more thing, I’m sure they’re few and far between, but there have to be natural hair care salons in your area. Do consider taking her to one, or at least getting some pointers. They’ll eat that up, a father wanting to know the best ways to care for his daughter’s hair.

Wonderful moments and quality time. My father did my hair for a while when I was about your daughter’s age. It is a bond and a type of love and care that she will never forget. Thanks for sharing these videos with us, Tommy:)

You got to get you one of them combs with the little metal point.
I have a complete set… They like me to do it because I don’t hurt their hair..lol
    p.s
Use it like your crocheting, just un-crochet the hair… Just a thought
