Jump into a conversationMarie Antoinette and it means leave them to their own devices essentially . She supposedly said this line when asked about the bread shortages in her area at the time . She basically thought that if they couldn’t afford bread then the people could eat cake or something similar but now it comes to mean Leave them to their devices the hell with them !
