Three months after Angela Simmons‘ ex-fiancé Sutton Tennyson was shot dead, details of his murder have been released.

According to Tennyson’s autopsy, which was conducted by the Fulton County Medical Examiner and obtained by TMZ, he was fatally shot 13 times. Nine gunshots penetrated him, and four grazed or cut Tennyson.

The outlet reports that he was shot in his arms, legs, stomach and chest and three of the gunshots did an “enormous amount of damage” to Tennyson’s heart.

Gunshots also pierced Tennyson’s spleen and stomach, TMZ reports.

PEOPLE is out to the Fulton County Medical Examiner.

On Nov. 3, 2018, Tennyson was shot and killed outside his home, after an argument with another man allegedly escalated. He was dead when police arrived after suffering multiple gunshot wounds.

Local police told PEOPLE that after firing multiple shots, the suspect then “sped from the scene in a car.”

Less than a week after his death, Michael Williams, of Atlanta, surrendered himself to local police. His lawyer Jackie Patterson, told PEOPLE that he accompanied his client to the Atlanta Police Headquarters and once they arrived, informed detectives not to question Williams.

After the 44-year-old was taken into custody, police charged him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, and murder, PEOPLE confirmed.

Williams’s attorney said his client denies all allegations and intends to fight the charges and prove his innocence.

“We are fighting this case vigorously, all the way to a jury trial,” Patterson told PEOPLE, noting that murder cases typically take between one to three years to make a verdict. “It’s gonna be a long process.”

According to TMZ, Williams was reportedly indicted for murder, but has denied pulling the trigger.

A day after his death, Growing Up Hip Hop star Simmons — who is the daughter of Run D.M.C.’s Rev. Run — posted a series of touching tributes to Tennyson, with whom she shared son Sutton Joseph, 2.

“Thank you for leaving behind my greatest gift,” wrote Simmons, 31, on Instagram alongside a series of family snaps.

“I’m hurting. I’m numb. Thank you for the out pouring [sic] of love everyone,” she continued, adding that she couldn’t “believe I’m even saying Rest in Peace Sutton.”

Concluding the message, Simmons, who confirmed her split from Tennyson in December 2017, made a pledge to always watch over their son.

“I promise to hold SJ down in every way I promise,” she wrote, adding a heart emoji.
