NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A woman is shot and killed overnight in Nashville and her girlfriend is arrested.

Keriesha Majors, 24, is accused of shooting and killing 23-year-old Kaylin Smith in the breezeway at the Overlook Ridge Apartments, 2400 block of Buena Vista Pike, at around 1 a.m. this morning, according to the affidavit. Police are calling this a domestic incident, as Majors and Smith were girlfriends.

Majors reportedly acknowledged to police under Miranda that she had a firearm during an altercation with Smith, and that the weapon was fired, according to the affidavit.

Police say Majors left the scene, but later surrendered.

Majors is booked into the Davidson County Jail for criminal homicide. She is being held on a $600,000 bond.
